If Air10s or MG80 Pro (Commander mode) does not communicate (cannot be controlled) with a flash other than MG series (Di700A, i60A, AirR), please check the following five points.
- If your Air10s or MG80 Pro has dots (.) on the group display A to D, press and hold the modeling button to remove the dots.
If you are pairing with a strobe other than MG series, you cannot use the advanced group, so please return to the basic group.
- If “OPEN” is displayed on the Air10s or MG80 Pro, press and hold the “M/TTL” button to cancel the OPEN mode.
Pairing will be temporarily canceled when in OPEN mode.
- Is the flash assigned to a group (A, B, C, etc.)? (Is the flash on the AirR set to TTL mode?)
If the flash is in a mode other than wireless, it will not fire. If the flash is not in wireless mode, it will not fire at the correct intensity. (The strobe mounted on the AirR will not fire at the correct intensity unless it is in TTL mode.)
- Is the channel of Air10s or MG80 Pro set to any other channel than 1?
Channel 1 is dedicated to the MG series, so if you want to use other flashes or AirRs, please set them to any channel from 2 to 8.
- Is the flash channel set to A (Auto)? (Di700A does not need to be set)
Even if the channel is set to A (Auto), if the Air10s or MG80 Pro channel is switched while the flash or AirR is turned off (or communication environment is poor), the flash or AirR will not be able to communicate with the Air10s or MG80 Pro. If you cannot communicate with the Air10s or MG80 Pro, please manually match the channels of the Air10s or MG80 Pro and the flash or AirR, or re-pair them.
